They are about now, out last night see 9 some of em very close together, if you don't go you won't know

By the way it was freezing cold, out on Monday on the marsh, had frost on the scope, but it was worth it, had a few this week, mainly vixens in prime condition

Yes, we heard two calling last night, both of which were dogs. Rather surprisingly, the two we shot - some miles apart, were a male and a female. We've seen very few vixens lately, so I can only surmise that most of them have been underground for the last few weeks.

Well we have heard no calling at all, however we shot a big heavy vixen on Tuesday evening which was clearly pregnant, so loooks like it happen some months ago.

last few nights very clear bright and still and deafening silence which is very unusual.

I've only heard one, a dog, calling so far. The electronic caller didn't seem to be of interest to anything a few nights later. The vixens that I've shot since Xmas appear fairly light.

Seems to have slowed down here on the calling, still lots of dogs moving around, 2 less now though, cheers

I had quite a few coming in full tilt on the caller last week. Sadly I can only get out on the shotguns this weekend so hope our big outing is still worth while next weekend.

Out last night had a bit of success with the caller. Out on another patch now just stalked a dog fox through an orchard. Can hear a vixen calling in the distance a first since I heard calling in December

Not heard much here. We have been pretty clear this season following a major push to clear up after harvest last year. Only a couple of foxes seen on all the shoots this year and one of them got shot. Beaters day today however and we saw 4. They are definitely on the move. Need to spend a bit more time out and about in the coming few weeks.

We got called to a farm just outside Exeter this evening where some newborn lambs had been killed. I shot a large dog fox near the main driveway, while Paul, my shooting partner got another on the far side of the farm. There were at least two others calling nearby.

Hi all!
Out last night with the caller, had my first two fox; both scampered boldly in from the same direction about ten minutes apart. Both dogs, one young the other a big old boy.
Thermal proved its worth again, an early spot allowing a quick but composed shot.
65grn Vmax homeloads out of my mauser .243, chuffed to bits I must say.
