Good afternoon all.

Just flagging up, for those who process venison, that the Open Food Network is looking for more venison producers to list. Currently there are just two venison listings.
The basic online presence is free, and there are options to sell online, or have your produce listed / stocked by a local food hub, if you want to expand your presence on this site.
With the very low return many if us get from the Game Dealers ( if they take in your carcasses at all....) this may just be another channel that helps you to add value?

Having said that, there's been a proliferation of similar initiatives in recent years, and I've signed up to several, but yet to get any trade as a result.
When selling venison, nothing can beat talking directly to your potential customers I find.

Good point.
I agree, this is unlikely to bring me a flood of enquiries, but as a sector we all have to promote venison as something to eat all-year-round, so long-term we may increase demand, and therefore prices.
