With most 17gn ammunition it's spot on.Hi SD
How do you get on with scope distance gradients for the 17, i’ve got the 22 version and its spot on for my rimmy, tidy piece of kiteven through the pard oo7

I have pulled off some pretty good long range shots with it to be honest.
The only thing I don't like is reading the distance etching under certain conditions. They seem to disappear!

Out this afternoon on a new barley stubble. Quite a few birds on it but a slow start. Corvids decoyed well but woodies didn't want to know.
Anyway steadily built a good bag finishing on 97
Shot of the day a 70 yd crow going away.
Off out tonight on same farm looking for foxes , first foray out on this new place.

Hares everywhere round here now , never used to be like this.
Frustrating few outings for me over the weekend ...a few birds about but a lot of choice of feeding locations so after a few shots they all headed elsewhere.
Sat - 14 crows in the morning and a mixed bag of 16 crows and pigeons in the afternoon.
Picked up a couple of new farms and was hoping a decent session was on the cards as 200 or so crows on a freshly drilled field.
Monday morning managed 11 crows
then headed to another bit of ground and shot 10. Farmer was well chuffed and nearly fell off his seat when I told him I had days of 150 
Both farms are in lovely spots so may yield some opportunities on the foxes etc at some point.
I shouldnt complain really as that takes me to 1176 (mainly crows) for the year so far

I do my bit...but most of the time I adore doing it...even on the crap days lol.That's some serious fun I mean conservation there
Nothing worse then when the pattern looks great, loads about, first few come in and land (confirming a good set up) first shot away...and they exit stage left with no return
Suppose it makes the 100+ days even more memorable.

No I've been shopping with the wife and daughter , daughter needed a new phone.Checked camera. No pictures. Card error. Bait gone. Jess sniffing about like she does if a fox has been about.
Now waiting to see if a greylag flight line is still active. I can hear them in the distance
