Chatsworth used to be really good about 20+ years ago, but like so many shows in order to keep attracting the numbers they need to show a profit they move inexorably towards a middle of the road country fair. Only the Stalking Show and Game Fair (free entry with BASC membership) are worth going to.

No they let you in if you don't have one but won't let you out without proof of a deposit on one.

I’d like to try a couple of rifle cover options and actually try them out on my rifle/mod/sight. Appreciate this would be totally normal at a gun shop but will I get odd looks wandering round for the day with it?

Worst, people will think you bought one there. Oh, and I took an air rifle to the shooting show and security didn’t bat an eyelid.

Yes, that p155ed me off, they do it deliberately to ensure the stall holders buy internet access. They do the same at the game fair.

They are one of if not the ONLY show organiser that is not trying to rinse the exhibitors into over inflated WiFi and Card machine contracts

the phone signal may be weak but you will likely see 25-30,000+ people onsite over the two days

Why do people insist on taking dogs ?And on extending leads too ! I don’t get it. I love my dog but it’s not the place for him, too busy, too crowded too many people wanting to stroke or fuss him.
However, unlike some of the dogs that go there he knows he’s inside a building and won’t leave a stinking pile of sh5t on the floor for someone to tread in and spread round the hall ……….

I only like being petted by ladies in tweed mini skirts though.
Looking forward to tomorrow as now the West Country game fair ended, it’s the only show I visit.

Hi Guys can anyone help please?

I have been waiting to get to the show as I did not go to the shooting show in February but I have been in hospital all week after suffering major abdominal surgery i will not be able to drive for at least 2 more weeks I have been told.

If anybody sees an interesting Thermal Imiger, using a forward mount, for a 56mm object scope then I would be interested in the details that I could follow up when I am better thank you.
