The UK gun trade, bloody useless!

I have dealt with Steve Beaty, top man and an absolute credit to the trade, its a pity they all cant be like him.

I hear ya there, I made some enquiries of Steve and he was very helpful.

Some members of the gun trade a pain though. A classic one I had was "It's very difficult to fit a scope on a Mauser action because they were made by so many people" And yes that is word for word, I kid you not!

I do find STEVE at Derek Lee Gunsmiths difficult to deal with and not very customer friendly, but Derek has always been friendly, helpful and polite.

also on a lighter note my wife wondering what I have done with the money from the sale!! .

Well at least our Derek has a good sense of humour and appears to keep things in perspective

I have used this shop several times. Paul certainly knows his stuff on rifles and reloading and has sourced some pretty obscure bits and bobs for me at reasonable prices. I have known Derek for some time and he has always been helpful. In is nice to have a good, well stocked gun shop locally.
