Thermal Spotter Advice

Hi all, after selling my thermal spotter I am in the market for an upgrade. New thermals are coming up in the market everyday hence it’s hard to keep up with new products.

I did a little bit of research and Pulsar’s new Oryx and Hikmicro’s Gen2 Condors have got my attention. One must feature is LRF.

Let me know your thoughts and real life recommendations please.

Thanks in advance.

I've had a Condor CQ35L for about a year and been pleased with it. It does chew through the standard batteries, but they provide 3! I'm sue the latest iteration will have improvements. The LRF is good.

Check out the Thermtec Wild range.. very good spotter I use a Wild 635L for stalking, slightly better field of view than the 335 or the 650L.

I’ve got the condor. It’s great. If you can wait try and get one in a sale. I hear the new one has better button placement. But if you can get over that and accept the slightly less lower spec lens (still awesome imho) get the gen 1 version and maybe save some cash

Hello, I see Sportsman Gun Centre have the Pard TA 32 LRF down from £1.165 to £648 , That is the 19mm / 25mm is £686 / 35mm is £700 , Anyone know on these ????

This technology is out dated and discontinued... go for something else...
The ATN BlazeHunter is well worth a look. It picks up every little sniff of heat. Very rugged and dependable.

Pixfra manufacture these models directly and they are cheaper to purchase . Pixfra Arc A635 = Blazehunter 635 just a different badge..

All good products, sometimes it just comes down to personal choice...

Hello, Going through all the different Thermals and Specifications and sub £1000 and would suite my shooting i have narrowed it down to a NocPix Lumi L 19, although i have no need to video etc , No interest in LRF, The NET D is better than a lot at this price point of £899 which seems most places sell for, 3 Year Warranty, I also like the seperate 18650 battery, Do not see many for sale second hand,

I still can't part from my Axion 2 XQ. served me faultlessy for years now with countless boars, roes & foxes either in winter or summer misty or dry days. Compared viewing to the Xq Talion Pro scope and can't really get any difference in heat picking. only regret neither have Lrf on board so I need another item for ranging necause I am not so keen on the studiometric system. that to say that often we run like hare's dogs after the newer technology and soend more ti hqve some minimal earn..

Thanks all.
I have got a budget of around £2K. Maybe a little bit more. I am not after an entry level but I don’t want to buy the most expensive product either. I’ve used Pulsar and Hikmicro with good customer experience so I am leaning towards those 2 makes.

bet you can't go wrong with either. Me too I had a habrok LN25 for some months but the thermal sensor was a bit frustrating so I gave it back and I am waiting for a new upgraded model. The Nv on habrok was good enough but with the penalty of 940 IR, the optical channel instead was stunning. Waiting for the new one I went back to Axion and (just in case) use a PardNv007SP for ranging. This is a female I estimated 100mt at night in one unknown place. Ranged (with the Pard as handheld) & recovered @170..
