TIG welder NE/Cumbria area

Evening folks, I’m after a little help. I’m looking for a good TIG welder in the NE or Cumbria to do me a quick weld - I have my own AC/DC Digital TIG welder but lack the skill required for the job particularly as it’s mild steel which I find the most difficult to weld.
The job - I have an old boxlock ejector that’s off face which, as a project, I plan to re joint back to face. However, the process starts with the deposition of a fine steel weld into the hinge hook and I just don’t have the welding skill or experience to do it. I’m hoping someone on here may or know someone who does. 10 years ago I’d have asked a colleague at work to do it; now I’m long since retired, I think turning up with half a shotgun in my hand would be frowned upon.
Can anyone help?
Cheers

Have you got some 312 stainless rods?
They go down nice on ferrous steel but won't bubble up how steel sometimes does.
Will your set let you ramp up hot and then drop to the welding current?

Thanks for the replies. Laser weld buildup sounds nice but probably expensive; I’m also not sure how I’d get the barrels to them as they’re beyond reasonable driving distance.
The welder I have is an R-Tech with foot control so I can ramp up hot then lower the current as needed. Not sure what grade my s/s filler is, I’ll have to check.
Cheers

It would be worth making something similar to mock up with so you can practice, get your set right and build confidence.
Some copper clamped to the sides help to soak heat up.

Would it not be easier to fit an oversized hinge pin, or sleeve the existing one where it contacts the lump and then enlarge the hook to get the correct set?

Turn the heat down and practice a few runes on a similar size piece.
Think a different way and lay a piece of filler rod in the hook and just blend that piece in and repeat.
That way you can just concentrate on one opp.

Bit late but I have just seen your post
If I was you I would ring Paul Johnston at Johnston engineering kingmoore park Carlisle
He should be able to sort you !
