Tikka t3 recoil pad

I am looking at replacing the recoil pad on my t3 hunter, there is a spacer between the pad and the stock that seems glued.
Does any one know if this does comes off with a bit of force, as i don't want to damage the wood

Might not be a spacer but part of the recoil pad. Got a picture?

The T3 and the T3x recoil pads and spacers differ very slightly. If I remember there is a plastic surface on both pads.

If the screws go through the spacer why not just leave it there and attach your new recoil pad on top of it? I had to buy two Tikka spacers for my T3 lite due to having arms like an orangutan at £40! You might find it fits nicely without the aggro of trying to remove it. As for replacement pad, I’d recommend a Simms Limbsaver, really good especially if you’re firing more lively cartridges.

I thought it was glued, it will be a bit of a mess to remove, so I will just have to put up with it

Yep, that looks like it’ll be a PITA to remove without making a right mess of the wood if not very very careful. I’d leave it.
