So it’s sound attenuation you are referring to? What was the difference between them as in reality - anything above 85dB is theoretically harming your hearing.

I guess the sound is one aspect of it but muzzle flash, balance, length addition, weight addition, maintenance, longevity are all factors in moderator selection.
