Time to Admit it!

all the time its more peaceful up there than sitting on the bog with your best shooting mag :thumb: i like to get there sort my stuff out have a speed brew and the just have 30 winks before the waiting game starts.

Never fell asleep while on the job.

You're answering a different question...!

I have a doze most early mornings if in a high seat at crack of stupid o'clock. As has been said, it's the warm sun rising that sends me off. I was woken one spectacular morning on Brian's (woodfordfallow) land last year, with a blue tit chirrupping away on my shoulder. Noisy buggers when 6" from your left ear!

Not yet, but normally I stalk on foot. Although looking at some of the cozy high seats on offer out there, I couldn't blame anyone for having a nap haha!

I've always thought high seats should be fitted with seat belts for just this reason.

That is why I love a full safety harness. I used to work midnights and would get off at 0600 each morning, just in time to stalk bait before turning in. One morning I was quite tired a awoke hanging out into space staring at a very startled hog below me ( obviously not as startled as I was)

September pigeon shooting, sitting below a hawthorn bush beside on old rail line on a warm September afternoon sound as a top. A voice is shouting hello, hello poor woman dog walker had though I had expired.

Blackpowder

A friend did it once, the only reason he woke up was because a stag came out the wood and roared 100 yard away from him. He got the stag. When ever I fall asleep in a high seat every 10 mins I wake up in state thinking there may be a deer in view.

a friend of mine fell asleep in a hightseat once and dropped his sako 243 complete with schmidt and bender 8x56, 12 foot to the ground :shock:.

the next day we checked the zero on the rifle and it was bang on :-D:-D

built a box last year with tin roof nice and warm one evening to wake up to a black dark night and a half mile walk back to car

OK All of you Super- Stalkers, time to come clean........how many have dropped off to sleep when awaiting the attendance of the deer? I admit I have:zzz::zzz:I did it once and awoke to see 20 fallow in a previously empty field !

Done it? I condone it!
