Tip Of The Week

On the rare occasion l may need the use of a drop of superglue l used to find the cap of the damn tube of hardly used glue rock solid and impossible to remove thus having to purchase yet another new tube……until that is l discovered if l store the tube vertically (top uppermost) it’s useable after another six months…..it’s worked for me.

After viewing Klench’s tray addition under his case preparation station it reminded me that I’ve always had a disposable aluminium tray (the kind from the takeaway) positioned (fixed) far enough below my powder tower dispenser to allow the correct amount of powder being dropped into the largest of rifle cases.

On the rare occasion l may have a spillage the tray catches the excess hence no waste of powder and no sweeping up.

Yes….nessesity is the mother of invention……l went for the aluminium tray because kernels of powder will bounce out of a shallow receptacle.

“Wet Wipes” l use them for various tasks (not for what you’re thinking) like rehydrating and cleaning old leather before any preservatives are applied.

Cable ties can actually be undone Foxy - many / most on our shoot cut them off - but a knife / tool or screwdriver can "unlock" the mechanism so they slide open
You can even buy reusable cable ties that have a little button that releases the locking mechanism. But the tip of a penknife does the standard type.
