They were probably chasing him to steal his cold toast.
Possibly. That used to happen to me when I had pheasant, pigeon or goat in my sandwiches. Everyone wanted to try a bit! Had to hide behind the school greenhouse to eat my packed lunch.
I have read many posts in this thread but not all of them and so I might have missed it, but, has anyone preferred brown bread or seeded bread toasted?
KB.
Brown bread only for me, with or without seeds, sourdough or yeasted.
White bread is just too awful, toasted or untoasted. Tasteless, indigestable pap.

For the man who needs everything, my pal has one and it works.

Egg Shell Break Point Ceaser, Stainless Steel Egg Topper, Egg Opener, Egg Attachment Cutter, Stainless Steel Egg Attachment for Boiled Eggs, Uncooked Eggs, Time-saving Egg Breaker Attachment

Are you ready? I am now going to say something that can never be unspoken.

I don't do butter!

Not on toast, not in mash, not on sandwiches, I just don't do butter.
same here for the first 25 yrs of my life. Then I decided I preferred the taste with butter but only melted into hot toast. If the butter is visible it might as well go for the dog or bin  . BTW my dads the same. No milk either, dry cereal all the way. Tea cant be milky. Must be brewed before adding a dash of milk.
