Tried lead free

What about us who do shoot large numbers of deer ? Are we to abandon our cull plans and shoot less ?
As usual this seems very I’m alright jack .....
Simple - use lead and don’t send to game dealer. I expect because of the very high cost of lead free, nobody will send any deer to the dealers

or use non toxic, send to dealer, get paid for the carcass, and given cleaner lead free carcass demand a higher price for your venison to meet the demand.

But there’s always the other option ..... keep sending to my game dealer who accepts lead 😁

There’s naff all in the price

Shoot 15kg 1 roe @ £1/kg = £15

1 x fox hunter factory for my .270 = £2.40 a pop (£48 for 20)

by my maths that’s £12,60 up.

or if you reload £1.50 a pop

you can more than cover ammunition costs by using non lead offerings.
Ppu 130 ge soft points are £17 a box , .222 are £12 a box , hardly naff all 🤔
Also I thought the dealers were paying more for lead free ? £1 a kilo hardly seems an improvement?

If you can't afford £50 a box ammo, £500 jacket, £5k syndicate membership and £50k+ pickup, don't shoot!
The £1 a kilo for lead free doesn’t seem good ? Think I’ll keep shooting with lead and get £3 a kilo , by MY maths that makes more sense 😁
