Excellent read. Backed up recently when I was in Kenya, where they have completely banned hunting. I spoke to a local land/ranch owner (who is a member of the Safari Club). He says he reckons numbers of wild animals have dropped by 25% since they banned hunting. Local land is now geared to crop and domesticated animals = money.
Very well written.Every where I’ve ever been in Africa it’s always the same if it doesn’t pay it has to go that’s how we survive. There is a documentary about elephants and how they have destroyed huge tracts of land because man put in drinking holes ,Then the elephants had no need to travel so destroyed everything around them. Then couldn’t travel as they had no food. The Elephant and the pauper. The ivory debacle is worth a watch.
