Gents, this may be a ‘how long is a piece of string’ question but has anyone with an idea of politics know how long these things take to go through lords? It’s been stuck on second reading for a while.
Is it a case that if it takes too long, it gets thrown out or back to square one?
From reading, these laws can be implemented in 2 months time or in a few years time once passed?
I’m trying to establish whether to book 1) a trip before it comes in - but I wouldn’t want capes etc stuck in Africa if you couldn’t import. 2) this may drag on for years and now would be the time to book? Feels risky though.
Any ideas? It was well discussed on here for a while and then seems to have fizzled out.
