What’s a good waterproof trouser ? For rough terrain and long wet grass that doesn’t let water through , have had quite a few pairs now but found after walking for an hour or two in long wet grass they would be soaked through , any suggestions , thanks

Not sure there is one. Decent set of gaiters helps keep the bottom half dry and water out of your boots. I Use Fjallraven - they don’t really keep the wet out, but dry very quickly. If its cold, a pair of merino long johns on underneath keeps you warm.

In older days tweed woolen breaks worked very well.

If you don’t get wet from the wet grass, then the sweat will soak you from inside, well that’s what I’ve found.
