Truckman top.

Morning all, I have a Truckman top on my Hilux which is three years old and has had very little use, truck has only done eleven thousand miles to date. The rear window surround near the opening handle is showing three small cracks in the plastic. With very little use I didn’t expect this, has anyone else experienced similar? This Is my fourth Truckman top, no problem with others. Thanks.

Sorry, of little help, other than I found the Truckman on my old Hilux so poor, and witnessed others rear glass failing spectacularly, that I opted not to have the Toyota/Truckman on my current one.

Are you talking about the plastic bonded onto the window and which covers the locking mechanism?

The Truckman canopy on my old Ranger was cracking around that - looked like it was getting old and brittle. The one on my current Hilux is starting to look like that’ll happen too.

Similarly of limited help, however talking to a friends son who works for Roxtons as a shooting guide/host and gets a Ranger pickup each year for the season - steered me away from a Truckman canopy "as they fall apart".
