Just going through my renewal paper version had an email today asking to fill out a security form can't even open it is this security form to do with where your guns are kept or what cheers
On the electronic version of the renewal form a number of questions are included regarding the security arrangement for your firearms and ammunition:
- Tell us about the cabinet (make, model and BS number), construction of the surface to which the cabinet is fixed (brick, stud wall etc), and how the cabinet is fixed (bolted (size of bolts), welded, adhesive etc.
- Are the security arrangements at your home address?
- Is the security shared with another certificate holder?
- Do you hold ammunition?
- Please provide information about where and how the ammunition will be stor
I would imagine that with the paper version a similar number of questions are asked.
What is the file extension of the security form attachment to the email, when you download it to your PC? It may be a PDF, but if it doesn't have the PDF extension then you won't be able to open it.
Weary. Just fill it in. Zero issue.Hi
I would suggest when you are able to open the form, you may want to establish if the form that is being asked to be completed is a legal requirement.............if not then you may want to leave aside.

PS - I didn't return a similar form that came with my renewed certificate - as it is not legally required.
I sure as hell wouldn't divulge where the keys are kept, especially as most key safes are far less secure than the gun safes.Hello, It saves the FEO a visit to see where you fix the gun cabinets, Make sure your Key box is in a seperate room, Mine is in the bedroom wardrobe bolted to the wall
And now we all know where it is, as does any casual visitor to this siteHello, It saves the FEO a visit to see where you fix the gun cabinets, Make sure your Key box is in a seperate room, Mine is in the bedroom wardrobe bolted to the wall

I've never even told my FEO where the keys are kept. There's no reason for him to know.I sure as hell wouldn't divulge where the keys are kept, especially as most key safes are far less secure than the gun safes.
