Yep, for the last 2 previous years we have had no roe twins at all on one 2,000 estate I am lucky enough to manage the deer on. This from 16 does in the census. I put this down to the high to chronic liver fluke caused by the wet weather (I assume more likely the does only having single young as a result rather than losing one twin when young.)
This (dry) year we have seen 5 sets of twins and only one single young which lifts my heart. Added to that of the 5 bucks culled all have been clear of fluke or carrying a very low burden.
