Two fascinating volumes. There are a lot of good illustrations, unusually for the period, which are from a variety of sources and often very evocative. As a wildfowler I like the ones of Snowden Slights and the Barrett family of Wells (later to be Peter Scott's mentors). The chapter discussing the virtues of the then-new motor car for sport makes one grateful for weather protection let alone air con and four wheel drive. i hope they find a new home.

Put perfectly,
They are so enjoyable,
I've really enjoyed owning them and would keep them but I would rather someone enjoyed them as much as I have.
