Ugly annealer

I’m just in the process of starting to use my Ugly annealer, and it’s obvious to me that I’d be better off with the gas being supplied remotely from the bottle through a line to the torch end. Has anyone done this already ? If so what kit did you use to mate the bottle to the line and torch.

I’m hoping that as usual, someone on here will have done it and can tell me how.

I'm doing something similar I got the torch adaptor from Hamilton gas products and hopping to fit it to large gas cylinder
with a quick release gas connection.

Possibly more accurate through consistent neck tension, also improved case life. The first is my guess the second is fact.
That’s fine thanks for explaining 🙏

I don’t need one, my loads are accurate enough and at 8-10 reloads case life is enough too 👍

All in all another job i don’t need to do,

I just use my Rothberg plumbing torch connected to the small calor bottle. Been doing this with all the flame annealers I’ve had - this is the Caselife annealer I had before getting the excellent Ugly.

My own Rothenberger torch which I’ve used with the ‘drill/spinning case in flame’ method is too clunky and awkward to combine with the Ugly. Hence the search for a new torch which brought me to the point of running a remote gas bottle. Now I’ve seen others doing it successfully I think I’ll give it a try.

I just found this on AliExpress:
£23.16 | HOT-Welding Torch Hose CGA600 1.5M (5Ft) Hose And Belt Hook For MAPP Torch Extension Kit

This is the correct thread for the torch. Just make sure you get a bottle with the same thread. It's 1"-20UNEF.
Other threads are available. Don't ask me how I know😂
Thanks - loads of those on Amazon - it was more your finer one specifically I was interested in.

I highly recommend the Fine Flame torch from Go Systems. All Ugly Annealers should include the new UK torch mounting block which I had custom made for this torch, as the standard block is huge as its designed for the Betnzomatic torch which is hard to find in the UK, expensive, and I had a few negative feedbacks on it.

If you want to connect that to a large bottle drop me a line as another customer did this and sent me some pictures. I’ve been meaning to do it, but I’m waiting to use up my smaller bottles first.

EDIT - I found the pictures so uploaded them here

Thanks you. I think I’ve managed to obtain all the relevant bits, which are currently in transit to me. I’ll wait and see if they all fit.
