I’ve got a 6 year old cocker spaniel, ever since we’ve had him we’ve had issues with him going nuts, licking his paws, digging, climbing up the back of the sofa and just very unsettled after we take him out shooting, I’m writing now as it seems to be getting worse. Has any one come across this and found away of settling it, we’ve been to the vets but they can’t put there finger on it and said to give him half a piriton but that dosnt seem to make much of a difference

Same with mine …. Nettles or something … I use warm soapy water throughly wash feet and nose / ears and a half piriton
Sometimes as lbw on coast I’ll take ‘em down beach and get her right in salt water soak …. River if your not near coast get her right in then good rub with towel

As Andy said, nettles are coming on strong also. mine charge around even more after running over in nettles..
Bad enough getting stung on your hand let alone all 4 feet.

Mine goes nuts after being stung with nettles normally on the walk back he starts nibbling in which case I Chuck him in the nearest body of water for a good swim and that seems to help if that’s not an option I will use the house pipe at home.

He’s also shown the same behaviour after being a field that had been sprayed not sure what with but was going mental. Didn’t find out till after as a few local dogs were doing the same.
