Uttings Phone Number

Does anyone have a phone number for Uttings? I ordered a pair of Leica Geovids last week and DPD have kindly lost them.

I’d like to speak to a person at Uttings, but can only find a contact us form on the website and a phone number on Google that just says to use the form.

Isn't that the way of most big companies now? Type your message to us and we can ignore it much easier and don't have to employ people to answer the 'phone to our customers.

To be fair I've only heard good things about Uttings. But with transport and mail strikes and the Christmas rush (who could have foreseen that) delivery times seem to have expanded like my waist does at Christmas.
 
DPD are awful and have been for ages - round here, anyway. I have largely stopped using Uttings because they always use DPD. You cannot complain direct to DPD and you cannot ring Uttings. All you can do is email Uttings.
 
In Uttings defense, I ordered a pair of binoculars from them last week (wife's Christmas present), and they were delivered by DPD within 2 days.

Just looked at the delivery note etc. and as you say no phone number on it, just email details

Yes a lot of companies operate like that. My sympathies go out to any company trying to operate a mail order business at the moment.

As to only hearing only good things about Uttings, well my personal experience is different and I have promised that I will never to buy from them again.
 
Well Friday, became Saturday, which became Sunday and then Monday. Today I had a glimmer of hope as I got a DPD notification saying your parcel is out for delivery with driver Omar, then shortly after another to say it would be driver Christian an hour later at 2-3pm.

It’s another no show and the tracking now says tomorrow for delivery.

Misery.
 
I stopped using them years ago, back when they still had a 'shop', even then nothing in stock, call them, yes we have one, drive 100 miles, and get sorry not got any 🤬
