Vacuum packing machine

Please can I have some recommendations for a decent vacuum packing machine. It’s really for home use only, but I did have an old Henkovac machine that came from a butcher shop that was first class, but unfortunately it’s now beyond economic repair. In terms of budget I’ll pay up to £300 ish for a decent machine, second hand is fine. Thanks for the help. Cheers 🦌

I have two of the Buffalo vacuum machines.

Like all Buffalo kit, they are solid and reliable.

Both came from eBay secondhand for under 80 quid each. The larger one needed a new circuitboard, which cost about 30 quid.

They will certainly outlast me!

Of the chamberless type, La.va build solid, functional and dependable machines. Like all of these chamberless machines though, the pouches made for use with them aren't cheap.

Thanks all for the recommendations. I’ll do a wee bit research and hopefully get sorted. Cheers

I have had a Trespade for 8 years now. It’s bagged about 100 Roe for home use and about 200 birds
I use the bags from Bushwear. Still going strong

i have been using the LaVa bags and generally speaking they are good but they are easy enough to pierce with bone. I need to take a lot of care to prevent that happening. What are the Bushwear bags like?

Pretty thick and ridged to get the vacuum. Never had a problem with anything cutting them I even freeze lower legs to run trails for the dog and no issues

I'm using these, and not had any problems with them being pierced by bone at all.

As well as the venison we packed a lamb away using them the other evening - lots of chops!

Another vote here for Buffalo.
When mine went wrong they gave me a brand new one and I’d bought it 2nd hand. Can’t complain about that kind of service.
