I'm a bit sceptical about those figures, Hants police took 5 1/2 months for my coterminous renewal in 2020 and only today have I finally sorted out all the stuff that they got wrong. Looking on the bright side they've recently appointed a new FEO who seems to have more commonsense than some of the FLD office staff so hopefully these problems won't occur again?

I come under the Glasgow firearms office. I emailed for a variation last Friday at roughly 1230 and I receive an email back at 1603 that day telling me my variation had been processed. I then went in on the Monday morning handed my old certificate in and was given my new certificate there and then. Great service from the team in Glasgow!

Put my variation in August 1st. Emailed them(Notts police)couple weeks ago to be told its not been processed yet (but they have cashed the cheque) 71 days & counting. ☹

Derbyshire, first variation 6 days from posting to dropping back on the mat then 3 months for the second only a few weeks later ( 2 times one for one variations and land to added which was passed before the ticket went in !

To be fair I do, but when I asked my bank for a cheque book cover they said they no longer make them. :-|

I suppose it is a sign of the times. Cleaning out the truck a couple of months ago and came across a couple of quid in coins. I was fascinated.

Could not remember the last time I had seen "real" money.
I get cheque books from LLoyds but not from HSBC or Barclays - guess which account is most used. HSBC don't even send statements unless I spend from the account - i.e. otherwise I never know what has been paid in without visiting the bank !
