Well I was after a variation to add a rimfire rifle I wanted to buy.... a friend who was a RFD was willing to hold it for me as the Glos Police website said up to 8 weeks for a variation!
(hacked off as a neighbouring force a couple of years ago was doing this at the Shooting show there and then!)
However, I dropped off the paperwork at Force HQ on 6th July.... apparently no letter box for security reasons!, so pushed open the sliding doors an inch and threw it inside!
Yesterday phoned as I had had no confirmation of receipt as they stated they would send on their website..... I was told, all done, we emailed you to say, send in your FAC and we will issue the new one..... I had not and still have not received that email, but dropped in today (20th) and handed over my FAC and was handed my new one. Checked it and all ok, so exactly 2 weeks! not bad going in this day and age.
only down side was where had they sent the email????, lucky I phoned.

tried calling them today but no luck. Didn’t even give me the option to speak
