Venision and dogs???

I have been, earnestly, reading all of the comments here, and remember the family dog we had, when I was MUCH younger. No one could stay in the same house with him, after he had eaten venison, for about two or three hours; it was, truly, toxic.

My question, because I plan on getting a Yellow Lab, in a year or so, is feeding them the lungs as well. I have heard that it is great for them, but not in which way. The heart and liver I reserve for myself, but I was curious about the lungs.

Thank you

Every one have a very Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year.

It is the BEST feeding you can give them - My dogs have been fed on minced rabbit, pheasants, pigeon and whatever else with pasta, rice, veg and brown bread mix for years and are on good shape

My Weimaraner is fed a raw meat diet, the odd rabbit, fur, inners, head & feet. A wood pigeon as it comes or a whole row kneck she loves it and never had a problem
