Views on Sierra 85 gr HPBT Gameking bullet

As posted above by others, unless you’re in Scotland that load is not roe and up legal!
I thought the larger species requirement was for a .240" minimum bullet at at least 1700 ft/lbs in England and Wales so no issue with the 85 grain bullet as long as it's driven fast enough.

It is, 85 gr at 2916 fps as the post I quoted is 1612 ft-lb, so not roe and up deer legal!

Maybe not but 22 cf isn’t legal for roe in England and is in Scotland roe are roe I’ll stick to what I said before even if I no longer use these bullets and calibre combination when I did as did a few people I know they worked extremely well on reds I certainly accounted for a lot of deer

Not sure what point your trying to make other than you were happy to break the law 👍

I used the Sierra 85gr BTHP bullet for a while through my .243 Win against roe and muntjac.
I hated the bullet.
Typical results for me were multiple exit wounds because the bullet had come apart while transiting the chest cavity, coupled, usually, with a pierced rumen, from bullet fragments, meaning the inside of the carcass wass a mess of green "soup".
I switched to 95gr Nosler Ballistic Tip and never looked back.

I had the opposite experience to you….1530 worked well on Muntjac and Fallow and when I tried the 95 BT the only Fallow I shot looked like an hand grenade had gone off inside it.
