I think it's been posted before but nonetheless a cracking reminder of what an awsome talent and fantastic showman Rory was. It also serves as reminder of the crime that is none of his studio albums came anywhere close to capturing the essence of the man and his band.
I remain convinced that had his studio albums been far better considered on a number of levels by those in control, Rory would have been up there with the greats and every bit a household name, irrespective of his apparent lack of interest in so-called stardom.
Case in point must be that it took a gig/session at the BBC Paris Theatre to deliver something so wonderful it still brings a tear to my eye some 40-years on:
