Vinyl Friday

Not Friday I know and maybe not to everyone's taste but this in my opinion is Elvis at his very best. (Except maybe when he did a performance of "The American Trilogy)

I do like a good guitarist. Be it Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Jimmy Page, George Harrison, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Slash, Angus Young, I could go on for ages. But one person I simply can't get into is Joe Bonamassa. I watched a concert of his on Sky. 90 minutes of my life I can't get back. It all sounded like it was good. All blues/rock stuff, which I generally like a lot. But it pretty much left me cold. Don't know why. But in there somewhere, there'll be a reason.

Pedro, you missed out one of the greatest (IMHO) from your excellent list ... Gary Moore (RIP) Saw him live about 8 times, mesmerising technique, phrasing, versatility and emotion...

Wasn't meant as a comprehensive list, but yes, Gary Moore is definitely up there. You were lucky to have seen him, gone too soon.

Ref: Joe Bonamassa I liked the early stuff.. Sloe gin, Mountain time etc.. However I cant help but think the fact he seems to put out a Album every 6 months somewhat dilutes the brand?
