Vinyl Friday

Sad sad news, will always be grateful to Michael Chapman for coming to the farm in-between dark times, & shining a very bright light here. Thank you so much, you made our year a much better time, & an unforgettable night that put a smile on our faces. A fully qualified survivor, & consummate professional. Much love & respect MC, you touched us all that night. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNkGmijeFZM
Sad news indeed. Though I haven’t seen him since he played for us at college In ‘72 or ‘73 he certainly made a lasting impression. Alan

Probably the finest rendition of that much covered Raglan Road, second only to the late, absolutely unequivocally great, Dubliner’s Luke Kelly. Listen and marvel.

This is Luke Kelly of the Dubliners singing something that he very rarely sang in concerts. It was written by Phil Coulter who managed them at the time and who had a Downes Syndrome child. Sung with great feeling. Tragic that we lost such a great voice, far too soon.

There are not many people in the world who could sing a song with this subject matter, & carry it off with such aplomb. Respect!!!
