Crass & Discharge were at the forefront of anti establishment protest punk rock, subject to an investigation by Thatcher & MI5, but they didn't support senseless violence, far from it, they were very much anti war. Hard to understand any of their lyrics or lack of tunes played at breakneck speed, but when Jeffrey Lewis did that album in a folky way, you get to hear how intelligent some of the songs were. Many of them banned. Here in the west we are lucky that we have a relaxed attitude to music now, it has always been used as a form of protest, like folk & nursery rhymes were in days of old. We should remember how lucky we are, Pussy Riot were sent to a Siberian Gulag for mind correction for playing their punk songs in a Russian Orthodox Church.
Steve Ignorant of Crass is now a part of the Sea Palling Lifeboat crew in Norfolk. Doing good work.

What would Pussy Riot Do? The lead singer now works hard for women's rights in Russia, Doing good work.
