If I remember rightly, it was the night of the England Scotland football game at Wembley, the day the Scots invaded the pitch & pulled the goalposts down! The gig was a sea of kilts & scarves, a great night out. Alex's brother was a pretty good guitarist too, Stone the Crows was a truly great underrated band, what with Maggie & the late great Jimmy Dewar on bass, fortunate to see him & Robin Trower one time.
