Vizsla Breeder recomendations want

The breeder of my last two Vizsla's has sadly retired and my current bitch is now getting on a bit and is struggling to be out on the hills all day.

I am therefore looking for recommendations of breeders preferably in Scotland but happy to travel to England for the right animal. Ideally I am looking for a large bitch, I know the trend is towards smaller animals but my two last bitches who were about 26kg each were ideal on the hill. Will be trained to point grouse for clients and on general deer work as well but won't be kenneled out.

Cheers in advance for any recommendations.

@rhys9tt has a litter due soon. My dog is from his kennel, big strong boy with a strong prey drive and a great nose.

I'm on my 7th and 8th Vizslas, 4 of which have been HVS rescues. One, a daughter of our current rescue V (it was a BOGOF deal) simply isn't interested in game or stalking however, her mother is totally something else! Brilliant on game (actually has a FT cert - it was the first rescue where I'd actually met the previous owner), she has taken to stalking brilliantly and is great on letting me know deer are about, and when scenting into a shot animal. The second rescue, similarly had never been used to deer but turned into our best V period, until she was tragically shot by a stupid gun breaking shoot rule 🤬 The first - well I wasn't a stalker then, but he was great on game in the field.

The HV Club are primarily interested in showing dogs, the HV Society in working dogs. PM me if you want a rescue contact.

Let me know if you want a chat about Wirehaired vizsla. Ive got 3 imports. Much more well rounded dogs compared to the smooths if you ask me. 🤔
