Voere Titan II. 9.3x62

I bought this used 9.3x62 Voere Titan II some time ago. It is in excellent condition but it is horrible to shoot. The recoil is extremely painful.

The problem is the stock and the lack of a proper recoil pad. I am going to have a proper recoil pad professionally installed.

The gun came here from Sweden. So it was probably Sven's wild boar rifle

I also bought a Husqvarna 1640 in 8x57 that also came from Sweden. And look what Sven did to it....

I think the bottom one is Roe Deer. In Denmark it’s Rådyr

9.3s have enough recoil that it the stock doesn't fit they are somewhat uncomfortable. I would want to shoot them off the bench nor prone. Big rifles need a decent firm hold with your forehand absorbing some of the recoil.

A decent pad will help - try a slip on one first to get the right length. An good eye relief with scope properly positioned for you is also important.

I have a three other 9.3x62s and they are all easy to shoot. But the Voere is vicious. It hurts to even look at that rifle. By the way, has anyone here ever seen a Garand in 9.3x62 mm?

The only difference between that 9.3 and others is what happens behind the grip. That is, the butt shape, drop, angle and type of pad/buttplate.

It’s definitely set up to be shot standing only!

If you plan to shoot it any other way, I’d restock it or move it on.
