Vortex binocular range

Hello,
I'm after some info about the vortex binocular range, I've had a good look about but finding it difficult to find a comparison, so wondering if anyone can help me on here.

I'm after some vortex binoculars, I don't want LRF as I've got some Pulsar thermals with LRF, so just need binoculars.

I'm wondering if anyone has any information about the differencea between all models that'll help me make a decision?

Thanks everyone!

Also have a pair of diamondbacks. Very happy with the build, image quality and price. The are pretty much on par with my sworovski rifle scope (older model) for low light.
I'd say they are a no-brainer for someone on a budget.

That's good to know, unless anyone knows of a large difference between any model, I'll probably go for the diamondbacks. I don't want a very expensive pair as I've got thermals too, so just want some good but reasonable binos to help with spotting. Sounds like the diamondbacks will be enough

Diamondback are good every day bino's, Vipers are better and really good.
Razors are the top of the range.

@slider @Craigsaun
I've seen a lot about the diamonds back's, is it worth paying more for wither the vipors or razors?
Image and last light get better as you go up the range but it simply depends on how much you can justify the extra expense.
Diamondback are the best budget bino's available imho, but personally I chose Viper HD's before changing to Fury LRF's

Thank you, is there much of a different between the vipers and then the razors that you know of? Or does it just go back to last light?

Just another few minutes, but the Vipers are pretty good and I didn't think it was worth going up the range.
One thing to be aware of are that the Vipers and Razors are 10 x 42 and the Diamondbacks are 8x42. Some prefer 8x's for woodland stalking

You guys all beat me to this!

Personally I run the older version of the Viper HDs in 10x42 because I was bought them as a present before we became the UK distributor.

It's budget depending - everything scales pretty appropriately in fairness.

The range runs as:

Crossfire HD
Diamondback HD
Viper HD
Razor HD
Razor UHD

The Crossfire HD & Diamondback HD are the newest in the range.

Real talk

There's a lot of what ifs but if I had to pick anything from the range I'd choose the Diamondback HD 8x42. To my eye they're very close to my older generation Viper HDs

I was genuinely blown away by the Razor UHD range in low light, I'd put them up against anything.

If you want to know anything specific then please just ask.

@CSW @slider I've narrowed it down to diamondback or the viper's, I like the idea of Razor but for the price, I don't think could could justify the use I'd get from them.

So, it's just how to narrow it down. I really like Vortex scopes, so was probably going to get a reasonable Viper scope for the rifle, so not sure if this would impact bino choice, what do you think?

@CSW do you know much about the viper scope range and have any recommendations?

Thanks for the help so far!

Happy to help with anything like this - I'd sooner give honest advice that way I don't have to remember a sales pitch.

With the Viper scope are you just stalking with it?

Is there anything in particular you want feature wise, i.e.

Illumination
Reticle
First or second focal Plane
Magnification range

Something like the 6.5-20x50 Viper is a great choice.

Feel free to drop me a PM if it's easier, I don't sell directly so there's no hard sell.

Probably will be a mix of stalking and range, on another rifle I've got a vortex hst but it came with it on, I'm pretty happy with it. No definite specifications but I'd want MOA just as I'm used to that.

I was thinking too, if I go with a viper scope, would viper binos be better matched in terms of swapping between glass and scope and vice versa?

I see your logic there on matching glass, I must admit I'm not 100% the glass and coatings are the same between the rifle scopes and binoculars though.

I can look into it and find out.

You might do well with a second Viper - The HS, 4-16x50

Good all rounder with that reticle and mag range.

Great, thank you. If you could try find out about the glass that'd be good, as it'll confirm my decision 😊

Diamondback HD 10x42 for me. My mate has some swaro 10x42 and although they're nice I'd rather spend the extra £1500 on terminal tackle.
Honestly the vortex diamondback 10x42 are brilliant for the money. They do what you need them to, your scope, rifle and trigger finger do the rest

I own a pair of 8x42 Diamondbacks that are 8 plus years old and use 10x42 Viper HD (bought last year) at work and have compared them side by side.

For picking up detail such as writing and facial features then the 10x42 Viper HD had the edge but for deerstalking the 8x42 Diamondvacks were miles better. This was because I found the 10x42 Viper HD were more fussy to get a clear picture and I had to blink and squint a few times to get the picture which always seemed to be just not quite there. Whereas the 8x42 Diamondbacks were instant clear picture and for picking out a deer or animal against foliage they are far superior and had better low light resolution.

I'm not sure if it's the mag increase that makes the Vipers worse for stalking or if the coatings just make things seem almost too vivid and a bit too hard to focus on but personally I would always pick my 8x42 Diamondbacks over the 10x42 Vipers.
