vortex diamondback 10X42 binoculars

Afternoon chaps, and chapeses,

i decided to replace my old bushnell binoculars that iv had for about 17 years, they have been right enough for the price but now need something better,
after reading reviews on here about theses and the hawkes i decided on the vortex, decided to go for the x10 power this time, despite reading they can be a bit shaky compared to the 8x42,
tested them out today and they were far better than the bushnells, but a bit of a bugger to get a single clear picture, and watching a rabbit at 200 yards they were all over the place, is that purely down to the 10 power rather than the x8, my old ones are dark but at least i can see properly through them,

That's the way they are, also takes a few seconds to focus, but for the money they are spot on.

there spot on to look through, i just cant handle the shaky picture im seeing, i couldnt possibly put up with that, i wonder if the 8x42 would be better,

As you get older it gets harder to hold them rock steady, especially after exertion. Eight's every time for me. Could you take them back and swap ?

Have had x8 and x10 binocs but always found the 10’s a bit shaky.

yes i can return them, which im going to have to do, i have no problems at all with my bushnells, there 8x42.
