Waiting

Hi,

I put in for my FAC and SGC coterminous back in October and did my interview in Late Nov and FEO was happy with everything and said would just be away to get signed off basically. I applied a year and half ago and was told to wait due to medical issues so waited and re applied and as I say all was good FEO was happy

Don’t think it would have been sent off for signing off till mid Dec given I got a call from him trying to contact my referees in mid December
So been about 2 and half months ish now and not heard anything.
Don’t know whether phoning up is a good idea or that. I know licensing are busy and I know perhaps there’s clarifications being done reg medicals but I’d of thought 2 and half months was sufficient time.
I applied to Glenrothes Licensing

Would it be worth phoning ? Or just hang fire and keep waiting

Give them a bell - be polite and ask if there is anything further needed or if they have an estimate when it will be sorted. They might be struggling to contact a reference?

My renewal was sent in fully completed, soup to nuts, zero issues - they’re hoping it will be done before expiry end of this month, so that’s essentially nearly 4 months, for a renewal that’s clean as a whistle.

They said they have a backlog, so I’m guessing they’re working with a priority to finalise expiring licenses just in time.

But do call them, they’re a very nice bunch of people and completely down to earth

Yup know fine well they’re a decent bunch the FEO I got was as nice as you could hope for. Guess it’s just a waiting game then, just obviously excited somewhat since a license was on the cards this time and keen to get out hunting. 4 month delays though by the sounds of it as you say so maybe shouldn’t expect to hear for another few months.

I’d like to give them a bell but I know there busy and I don’t want to hassle them if needless. Figured ask on here and see if others know if there’s delays ect instead sounds like there are then

Oh well, I’ll keep saving for that swavorski scope
