HI, guys, looking to purchase a top quality lab puppy in the next couple of months and just thought I would cast a net to see what is available. Looking for old school type, powerful body and head. Good pedigree with low hip and eye scoring parents. Any colour and top price paid.

Hi mate I have a friend who’s just had a litter of pups the sire is mine he’s unbelievable dog with an amazing pedigree and very good Heath checks the bitch is my friends she also amazing I have a pup coming back home from the litter I can put you in touch with him if you like. Thanks Dave

Contact a few Field Trial clubs in your area. They're sure to know of a few litters pending.

We have a 9 month black dog pup here. Kept him and his sister and going to run her on.

Dam is Timosky Frosty - 3:4 hips 0:0 elbows - DNA clear. Father is a champion
Sire is FTW Milbuies Gilbert of Carnochway - 3:3 hips 0:0 elbows - DNA clear. Both parents champions

Training started but largely a blank canvas ready to get going this spring for introduction to shooting next season.

Keen retriever to hand
Walks to heel on the lead and has started off lead
Good recall
Sits and has started to stay
Travels well in a pickup
Well socialised with other dogs

He’s a really nice bold pup but sensible and picks things up very quickly, should make a really nice dog for someone.

Pictures and videos on request.

Cheers

Dan

I would be looking in Scotland or Ireland , they are getting to be rare things in the " old School type " .

Please stop Bowland. It's not compulsory to comment on every post! I shoot on quite a few trials and training days and the dog described are becoming more and more common. In fact, at least half the dogs on every trial are strong animals these days. The small, thin and lightning fast dogs appear to have gone out of fashion!

Many thanks for all your responses, guys, really looking for a pup rather than anything else as I want to train it from scratch, and Scotland would be more convenient. Thanks, Bill.

my mate has a cracking litter fully health tested parent they was born last week all red pups in the east borders

Mate has just advertised a litter down here due first week of March, all tested, good scores, and knowing him will be very good working lines.
