Warwickshire rifle ranges

Hi all- I've recently moved to Warwickshire (near Rugby) and am considering joining a local range/club for a bit of fun, to get me some more experience with firearms before applying for my FAC and maybe to meet some like minded folk. Any recommendations?

Thanks

Hi Matt - welcome to Warwickshire! If you want to get into target shooting and apply for an FAC, you will need to join a Home Offfice Approved club and serve a probationary period.

One of the best clubs in the area is the Jaguar Rifle Club, they use a range in Coventry where they have facilities for airgun outdoor and .22rf indoor, 25m. They also have a growing full bore section which runs range days at Kingsbury and Bisley. Check out their website: Jaguar Rifle Club

Thanks all, some good suggestions there. The Jaguar club looks good and may be a better route to Kingsbury than joining the NRA direct. May give it a try

silver stone is a good set up but as stated in another post now very expensive and a bit "clicky" <hooray henrys!> military look alike 22 rifles etc.

Is this the same Silverstone range where a shooter hhhhhhhhhh some bullet holes in a timber target frame and they all went into pandemonium on facebook?

Hi Matt, bit of a old thread but was looking for some other clubs I am near Warwick so not far from you.
Although expensive, there is also Honesberie Shooting club that I use every so often to zero Rifles and a bit of practice.

For small calibres there is Wedgnock Rifle Club in Warwick which is a lot cheaper but limited to below .22 unless its black powder I believe.

I haven't tried Jaguar Club yet, but thought about giving them a go soon. Have you been there yet? What's your take?

Yes the range is energy limited to 17HMR or .375 cowboy lever actions unless it is black powder.
