No, really, I don’t…
I really do deserve this pint
Just got back in after clearing up from a very productive 50 mins sat in a new ladder that I picked up a few weeks ago, put up last weekend & sat in for the first time this afternoon.
Got to seat at 1455, first shot fired at 1505 - roe doe.
1540, second shot - muntjac buck.
Decided I’d pop the mag out & bomb up again ‘just in case’ - good job too as 8 fallow appeared from the right almost straight away!
1541, third shot - fallow doe.
1542, fourth shot - fallow fawn.
1542, fifth shot - fallow fawn.
Then the realisation… the car is 20 mins walk away, I’ve got 5 deer down, I’ve never had more than 4 on the carrier before, will they all fit, I’d better get out of this ladder & clear up before I lose the light
An hour later I’m back at the chiller ready to start the hard work - shooting them is the easy bit!
Glad to say the brass catcher did an outstanding job & I didn’t lose a single one of my precious 6.5x47 Lapua cases
