What do you do when you're not stalking

You too? I'm sick of the sight of mine - I bought it as an MOT failure more years ago than I care to remember, and have made more or less every single part which can corrode out of stainless steel - which as anyone who knows Land Rovers knows, is almost the entire damned vehicle. It's not far off being completed, but it's still fighting me every step of the way...
I know the feeling mate…just about to start my next round of maintenance…love/hate the damn thing. 😎

When I bought mine the chassis was rotted right through, so I knew from the start that it needed a new one. Beginning with that (galvanised, of course), I built it from the ground up as effectively a new vehicle. Consequently, I didn't have to go through the pain that you're now experiencing, so I wish you the very best of luck there!

I play guitar, six string and bass, I also sing in a Church choir, a Male Voice Choir and I've just joined a group of concert singers for a gig in July. I do a lot of recordings for the Male Voice Choir so that the guys who don't read music can learn and rehearse their parts. Busy week this week, auditioned for the Mastersingers, learned a couple of solos for a tour of Kerry with the male voice choir, six new pieces for the bass tomorrow, and a concert in support of Ukraine tomorrow afternoon.

Haha yes luckily I’m right handed. It’s never a good day when a mans tractor lets him down!!! My tractor was overheating and I ignored the warning on the coolant reservoir tank like I’ve done many times before, but the engine was super heated way beyond normal operating temperatures this time, basically high pressure pushed the coolant out all over my wrist and face. My face has about 40% burn coverage but luckily most of this is superficial, after a few appointments with the plastic surgeon I’ve been told I should get off with no major scarring on my face as for a small area around my ear and forearm I’ll probably have some scarring tissue. It has put my life into perspective a bit more tho and taught me some valuable lessons. We all spend our lives rushing from one job to the next as quickly as we can and if your like me sometimes we have a total disregard for our own health and safety. The country side can be a dangerous place, just the day before my burn injury I was chased full speed by a bull through a shed, I narrowly escaped by jumping over a gate and falling on the other side hurting my shoulder. We laughed it off but that could have been really life changing! I’ve learned the hard way last week that short cuts aren’t always faster or better. Weather your on an atv without a helmet or even not wearing your seatbelt slow down and consider the possibility of you not being able to appreciate your next stalking trip or whatever it is you love doing in your spare time.
Wow you are lucky to only get that amount of burns. I hope you have a speedy recovery.
I had a similar incident years ago. I was running a van up to get warm and test the cooling system when I leaned over squeezed a coolant pipe and the cap came off. I was very lucky but I burned my face. It went black and I peeled the dead skin off.

The stalking only really ends between June 30th and September 1st for me… but during that period I’ll be working 90% of the time, getting into mountain hunting shape, doing lots of online shopping for hunting gear and photographing wildlife as much as I can.

Waiting for my latest renewal/variation to land on the matt as those awfully nice people at Kent Police HQ didn’t quite get the wording and content right on first issue!

Do some self employed agronomy work for a couple of days a week from April until September. Manage a block of woodland which includes squirrel control, fox and rabbit control, muntjac and roe numbers are building in this area so stalk those when I can. Gardening and family. Recently got a sprocker so out walking and initial training.
