Love all the replies.
The stalk will consist mainly of walking with a small amount of high seat im told, VERY excited!
All your replies are greatly appreciated and il try get myself the top layer sorted as base layers im all sorted with. Thanks again!
Quick addendum:
I have a Seeland Poncho which I stuff into my back pack. This allows me to stalk in light weight not 100% waterproof kit and if / when I stop moving (killed a deer waiting on extraction etc: I can put that on to keep warm and dry. If stalking in remote areas its my survival blanket of sorts and works as a ground sheet.
My 2p is kit up in the stuff you think your going to wear and go for a 4 hour walk in it first to see how it performs.
I did my DSC2 in November and had no previous experience of long stalks. I kitted up for the 3c conditions then went out stalking from 6:30am till 1,00pm break for lunch then out till dark. Shot my first deer around 3:30pm
I was drowning in sweat. All my kit was soaked from the inside and I was panting like a dog.
Next day I went out in a coat (seeland keeper) over a long sleeved T shirt. Still too hot and fairly sweaty in 3c but much better it was like I had a hot air blower venting at my neck all the time.
I spoke to my DSC2 witness about it and he said, yep thats whey I wear Tweed trousers and jacket. Breathable is king
I looked at tweed but A: couldn't afford/ justifie it for the limited stalking I do and B felt id look like a knob in it. So went for the Musto.
