Looking at purchesing a new pair of warm gloves for stalking. There is so many different ones on the market I am confused. Can anyone help and advise, THANKS.

2nd for macwet owned most best by far. Great fit, nice and warm plus washing them restores the shape.

I've tried MacWets and while they gave good grip and feel when wet (not meant to be waterproof) they were definitely not warm. Found that SealSkinz Hunters didn't give quite as much feel but were reasonably waterproof and significantly warmer. I also have a pair of SealSkinz pot palm gloves and find them waterproof and warm but have to take them off to shoot.

Yet to find a glove that can cover all the bases.

Another one for sealskins although not the warmest or the cheapest, i have found them to semi waterproof and better than the other gloves i have tried.

Easily the best I think tried some on last week. I've got sealskins at the minute not to impressed. Good thing is I'm quite good at losing gloves.

just sent a pair of sealskins back this week, after letting water in like the preverbial two holes in a bucket not at all impressed, which is a shame because i really rate their socks.

For warmth,I have a pair of sweadteam therma fleece lined gloves, but they are rather restriciting because theyr'e so thick.
For summer, light use,ive got a pair of sweadteam lycra gloves, very thin and much easier to use the rifle with them on,and a pair of fingerless thinsulate fit over ideal.

Just the thread I was looking for. Some good ideas on here chaps, my hands were a little chilly tonight, only the hot pocket things warmed my mitts up!!

Are the leather ones you can buy any good also? Tried some on a while back and though they were nice and comfortable, just not sure how warm they would be!! Any experience or thoughts on these???
