what size patches

hi what size patches are you 308 win shooters using cheers

1 3/4 " square, BUT... on a dirty barrel you struggle to get a that size patch in, so I use a either a .270 jag or, if using the .308 jag, I offset the patch. Once most of the crap is removed I can use these patches with the .308 jag.

It will depend on what type of jag / cleaning rod you are using. With a spire point use the appropriate patches for your calibre and jag.

For the old Parker Hale long jag or a military type loop the a piece of 4x2.
