I was joking about the farmers complaining about them and making them into dog food, but there are a hell of a lot down here at the moment. I counted 30 on one small field the other night.

It was the 'avoiding them while driving' that gave the game away..the damage they were doing is akin to herds of rampaging wild boar..

To be honest, they get a bit dazzled if I have the headlights on and aren't all that keen to fly off. I really do have to go round them at times.
