I have an appointment to see a consultant for what I hope is a final decision on what knee operation I am going to have (Either full or partial replacement). I have been messed about for well over 6 months now over this so I don't really want to miss this appointment. However both the wife and I have had a pretty nasty virus. Marlene has had it for 12 days and had to get the doctor yesterday as she was coughing so much she had started coughing up bits of blood and was put on antibiotics. I had it for about a week but am near enough over it but I am still suffering a little from it, mainly coughing (occasionally) and still a bit chesty.
I am concerned that if I go to the appointment I might spread what is left of this virus to others but on the other hand if I cancel the appointment I might have to wait another couple of months for another appointment which is going to drag things out so much more that I might not even get the operation till next summer and be laid up for most of next year, would it be "selfish" of me to keep this appointment?
If it were you would you take the chance and still go for the appointment tomorrow guys?
