What you don't tell your partner...

Obviously about a million things! The main one for me is everything i buy as far as she's concerned costs roughly 1/4 of what i really paid;)

Don't get me wrong, I consider myself an honest person but some things you just know will go down like a Led Zep...like hunting deer in my case. We're been together 24 years and have a child. Very happy. And we both 'wear the trousers' in general, in a very balanced way. But i know that if i walk through the door one evening with Bambi bleeding all over the floor then there's likely to be a 'look that says 1000 words'. And then the 'treatment'. I expect some might say 'tell her to do one', but after all this time I quite like her tbh

Just wondering if anyone else has this with their partner, friends or family and how you shamefully decietful liars get away with it...

Ha ha I know the feeling, however im sure my Mrs shoe and Joules collection balances things out...

Funny thing is that I bought a pair of Harkila Julpes last week to fit between my wellies and pro hunters for flexibility. Anyway I doused them with permethin and left them out to dry.

Lol 20 mins later she said new boots... No idea when it comes to the value of guns but put a new pair of shoes out and your clocked...

Makes me realise how lucky I am in that my wife is really keen on me shooting and eating what I shoot, I think she spends more time reading the shooting times than I do.!
she also washes the kitchen down as well as cleaning my knives etc when I butcher deer in the kitchen!

I hope your Missus never sells any of your gear behind your back and sells it for a 1/4 of what its worth

My wife doesn't mind me killing things, so long as I don't try and do it in the house. But I only tell her what I'm spending if she asks me!

Never felt the need to keep any secrets from the missus, thankfully.
If we ever get to the stage where we need to hide things from one another it'll be a sad day.

So she says it's me or fishing :(
The fishing continued unabated, she moved on, think I got the better end of the deal

Neil.

Just tell her you're going stalking and she must go about her household duties quickly and quietly please. I can't remember what sex is. Odd.

Third time Lucky for me, she is told or knows everything about me. Gives me a hand up with heavy beasties, cooks them to perfection and has been out with me several times.
No 1 Was anti stalking, wouldn't cook venison, anti hunting, not a good one to be a keeper's wife.
No 2 A better stalker than me, a good keeper's wife. good cook etc, but fancied a monied mate more than me.
No 3 Good woman, likes a tipple but generally treats me as well as my mother did. In my dotage, just what I require.

couldn't agree more, treat the missus how you wish to be treated. :thumb:

I just hope that, if I suddenly snuff it, my wife doesn't sell my guns for what I've told her they cost me

Its the fact you can joke about and still live to tell the tale shows your with the right 1 Doug ,Tim is spot on if you got to hide things then things is very wrong
