Where can I shoot a Skorpion SMG?

Very jealous that the crims can get a full auto Skorpion but I can't.

Always liked the look of the wire stock version of this where the stock folds neatly over the muzzle

I know it probably shoots like crap but where can I shoot one without joining an organised crime gang as I believe that is about as tricky as getting an FAC nowadays

An interesting concept designed for a time when Russian supplied to the Warsaw Pact tanks had pistol ports. For when your tank is being swarmed by enemy infantry just as at the ending of the film "Fury" to be fired from said pistol port....if you tank had one!



Yet most internet commentators don't have the historical knowledge of Soviet and later Warsaw Pact AFVs to ever comment on that in their blogs about it.

And as NBC warfare became likely pistol ports were no longer favoured or incorporated into tank designs. Or even filled in. So in some ways it is like the British 1908 Pattern cavalry sabre. The acme, the zenith, of that type of weapon for that type of fighting that arrived just as that type of fighting was becoming obsolete.

Fired a micro uzi in Riga Latvia
Had to pay a fiver extra to shoot it fully auto towards all the damage to range ceiling.
It was almost impossible to keep the muzzle down on fully auto

Tallin in Estonia - great place to spend a weekend in the old town. I did exactly what you sought to do after I’d surveyed a RN warship there and had a day to spare. Most of the municipal buildings dating from the Soviet occupation have firing ranges underneath them and my hotel put me onto one. I followed in a Brit stag party, some still obviously worse the wear for drink and the RCO (actually an Estonian Sgt) invited me to fire off their purchased rounds that they couldn’t use. All manner of pistols, automatics, etc - only issue was the noise, the brass on the floor and the fumes. It was frankly, one of the best weekend I’ve had

Was it not a scorpion (sp?) that a US instructor gave to a young girl on a range somewhere in the US?

Fully auto, the young lady couldn’t control it and it rode high a right

Caught the instructor in the head killing him instantly

Fired one extensively donkey's years ago in South Africa. Graciously donated by the PAC via APLA, fastest rate of fire you can get, first time you get caught out by the 32 ACP empties dropping back on your head is a laugh, just don't get one down your shirt, seem to remember they are still hot.

The Skorpion is one of the only full auto SMG’s that’s very controllable in full auto, if you use it double handed. Very nice to shoot, but not in the UK.

Of course it’s also absolutely useless for all practical purposes but good for a laugh and quite dangerous to the user due to among other things, loss of control.

All arms in full auto gets very expensive to shoot very quickly.
