I will never pass up the opportunity to say how utterly garbage the ranger and the support from Ford I had was - I made it clear to them I would never purchase a Ford again. And I wonāt.
Had a brand new 3.2 wildtrack. Absolute disaster, engine blew up (washed 3 of the 5 bores) new engine installed after about 9 months of moaning and the car going back and forwards and was told that the engine had a 30 day warranty - no give on that.
Sold it and wonāt have one again.
I have used Mitsubishiās as well and they seemed to be ok but were soft and didnāt last in my opinion.
Hilux - seem to have dropped and rust at the first whiff of moisture now and have DPF issues.
I currently have an Isuzu, and although it is a bit more agricultural than an Amarok or the new ranger raptors it has been very reliable, is well kitted out and feels very sure footed on and off the road. I chose the Isuzu on their reputation and wins on āmost reliable pick upā and so far thatās living up to the title.
Regards.
